Part one
So there I was, ……………….. in my prime theatre seat, all set for a …………………. performance. But, my entertainment was ………………… put paid to by a chatty duo behind me. It was like their words just ……………. through me, as if I was invisible. I tried shooting them a …………… look, but they were as ………………… as a duck in a pond. Eventually, I couldn’t ……………… it any longer. I turned around and bluntly exclaimed, 'I can’t hear a word!’ To which the young man, without ………… a beat, ……………………… , 'This is a private conversation!’ Talk about a comedy of errors!
