Recently with Present Perfect or Past Simple

„Recently” can be used with both the Present Perfect and Past Simple tenses. Here’s how you can use them:

    1. Present Perfect:

    – I have recently finished reading that book.

    – She has recently visited Japan.

    – They have recently started a new business.

In the Present Perfect tense, „recently” is used to talk about actions or events that happened at an unspecified time in the past, but the effect of the action is still relevant in the present.

    2. Past Simple:

    – I recently saw a great movie at the cinema.

    – We recently moved into our new house.

    – She recently passed her driving test.

In the Past Simple tense, „recently” is used to talk about actions or events that happened at a specific time in the past, not long before the moment of speaking.

Both tenses can be used with „recently” depending on whether the time frame of the action is more specific (Past Simple) or not clearly defined (Present Perfect).
